6-9-20 THOUGHTS    TOP OF THE MORNING TO MY LOVED ONES

Sometimes when life becomes complex and busy, and the clarity of vision is blurred, and confusion knocks on my door, I go back to fundamental beginnings.  Almost always, it is there that I can discern principles that help me get back on track.  
Moses is on Mount Sinai before GOD...

Ex 34:5-11     The LORD descended in the cloud and stood there with him as he called upon the name of the LORD.  6  Then the LORD passed by in front of him and proclaimed, "The LORD, the LORD God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth; 7  who keeps lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, visiting the iniquity of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations." 8  Moses made haste to bow low toward the earth and worship. 9  He said, "If now I have found favor in Your sight, O Lord, I pray, let the Lord go along in our midst, even though the people are so obstinate, and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us as Your own possession." 10  Then God said, "Behold, I am going to make a covenant. Before all your people I will perform miracles which have not been produced in all the earth nor among any of the nations; and all the people among whom you live will see the working of the LORD, for it is a fearful thing that I am going to perform with you. 11  "Be sure to observe what I am commanding you this day:

There is God..., and there is Moses and the people in the above.
God gives us a marvelous declaration of His Character.
Rom 11:22     Behold then the kindness and severity of God;   We see both declared here!
God is infinitely  GOOD and ultimately JUST!  
God makes and keeps PROMISES!  Thank you LORD!
Ours is to KEEP, SUBMIT, OBSERVE, WORSHIP
The making of  COVENANT answered the question “Will you go with us?”

The SOURCE OF ALL IS GOD!

I am trying my best this morning to stand on the mountain before GOD.  That must be spiritual,
but to some degree it must also be real!  
The beginning is always   that “I HASTE TO BOW LOW... and WORSHIP”!  

My Prayer:  
Oh God help us each to think on your goodness but also on your just nature.  Teach us to fear you and love you in right ways, that we may learn to worship you as we ought.  We thank you for being God and for the information about yourself.  Help us to approach you in careful love!
